This isn't going to get rid of all of them, but my cats love them. They have 
a great time chasing and batting them around.  They are great empty or you 
can put something like a small bell, a penny or pebble in them to make some 
noise.  This is not to imply that my cats are easily entertained or stupid . 
. . this is what they do when they are not working on their astrophysics 
projects.
