My vote is for rubber lens shades, even generic... great shock absorbers.
(A generic 49mm standard hood, cut back, works well on a w/a lens.)
For long Zuikos with built in shades, a vacuum cleaner drive belt around
the extreme end of the shade serves the same savior role...
