There is a 6 or 7 story building in Dallas near where I used to work that
stood empty for several years (real estate, don't ya know).  The owners
discovered that fire ants had infested the building and eaten the insulation
off of almost all the wire throughout the building.  They ended up
condemning the building, although I think it is still sitting there to this
day.
