lex, i passed thru dfw twice, and all fim was run thru the carryon xray
machine. the one roll of fuji superia 400 had the most:
out from ONT
OUT from JFK*
OUT from JED
OUT from JFK

a roll of costco (agfa hdc) 200 went the same route from jfk (first
occurence) onwards, and konica centuria 100 and 400 out from JED to back
home.

none show signs of damage from xray. the fuji printed awesome, the agfa
OK, and the konicas like utter crap...this i attribute to the automated
slings and arows of fuji, who likely hadn't been set or coudln't be set to
anything other than Gold or Superia channels (the two most popular). this
of course is my assumption.

given his description of negs, which are similar to my own, namely:
underdeveloped, lack of strong orange mask, lettering and code on film
edge translucent, i'd say this is a ver stong case for OLD chemicals which
lost their potency.
