Subject: OM1 - does it have a future?

I have acquired an OM1 (for little outlay). The condition is ex+ or
thereabouts. The meter appears to be doing its job. Mirror looks fine and
locks up smoothly. Delayed action appears OK. Two problems, however. One,
the winder, and drive sprocket, will not advance (the drive sprocket idles
on 'R'). Two, the rear gasket is gooey.
Is this an easy 'fix' or is it destined for an honourable retirement?
Any thoughts please?
