A word of caution! I have no idea who these guys from HK are, but I've
witnessed quite a few cases in Southern California of "Made in China"
625 cells, which were packed in wrappers marked as "Mercury", but turned
out to be rebadged alkaline cells.
There is really no good way to detect the fraud, because unlike the
European-made Hg cells (mostly by Varta, but also from some Swiss
sources) the 625 cells which originate in China are typically marked
only as "625".
A $2.00 price for an alkaline 625 cell is not too bad, so there is no
huge economic loss here. However, compared to Hg's the alkaline cells
have a rather limited shelf life, so maybe initially it's wise not to
buy a large quantity -- at least until you verified that your sellers
are a reliable source.
