: This is what is said in my OM-40 manual:
: "Other cautions
: The DX ISO auto-setting is not effective when the ISO speed window
: shows a number "800" or larger.
: First, set it at "640" or smaller then adjust for ISO auto setting."

: The ISO range in the OM-40 is 25-3200, so why doesn't the DX coding work
above ISO 640?

: What do you make of it Hans?

I think what's meant with the "ISO Speed Window" is the indicated value on
the ISO dial, which is used for manual ISO setting. So what they say if you
have used it to manually set the ISO speed at 800 or larger and want to
revert to Auto DX setting, you should first set the manual setting to 640 or
(s)lower, then set the dial to 'DX ISO Auto Set". Must be a design flaw.
