Oops, forgot the Olympus-related content...

Photos of my son's birth were taken with an XA2. I needed something that would fit in a pocket while I switched roles from photographer to coach: puff-puff-puff-puff, push-push-push-push...

I only thought to photograph my third kidlet's birth, tho', with
consideration for mom who was a bit embarrassed by her compromising
position. But those memories are permanent and more easily recalled than a
photo album. I wouldn't trade the experience of being there for anything.

Timothy is very cute...... one of the benefits of being parents is that U
can track the physical changes from birth to days to months .........

When
he came out yesterday, he was all very dark...... his facial features were
not so cute
then..... he had patches over both eyes..... we were worried they were
birthmarks.... but yesterday a few hours later , they were gone...... he is
now quite fair
too..... His nose doesn't look too big now...... seems a wee bit higher
too......

..... the pfrofessor of a gynae..... remarked,.... hey wow.....
look...... I got all of it out now...... hmmmmmm he says..... this is quite
big.... he was holding up for all to see.... this HUGE bloody thingy.....
it
was th eplacenta, umbilical cord....... Blood all over his gloved
hands....the sac was still there..... and he says..... see this is where I
broke your sac....it was still like a bag.... white in colour , half
transparent deflated balloon........the equally huge palcenta was inside
it..... with the thick cord hanging out........

I almost fainted....... !!!!

Good material for 'Aliens' or 'The Thing" ....... now I know where those
monster creators got their ideas from... !
