Good point. I have a Kiron 1.5x converter that will not fit anything less
that a telephoto. Its own front element projects too far and would contact
the rear element of any normal or wide angle lens.
The Vivitar macro focusing 2x teleconverter has enough clearance for every
lens I've tried from 28mm to 300mm.
