Ditto, Joel. I've seen some images really screwed up by that "rule" of setting black and white points. Often results in posterized or excessively contrasty images with no finesse.

Whip:
I am guessing the latter; in other words, no adjustments.  That would fit
my experience anyway. Send them a dark slide and it comes back dark. Don't
know what their stated policy is however.

I would also have to disagree with the premise.  Setting black and white
points is not always appropriate.  It really depends on the image.
