The chairman of Cosina is a big camera nut, so I wouldn't put anything by them. And yes, it's an auto-aperture lens.

Did you see the 12mm rectilinear lens that they are probably going to offer for the LTM mount?! Check out http://www.cameraquest.com/voigtlen.htm.

Also at Cosina's site, you see that they offer their 17-35mm lens in an OM mount, but I don't know if it's FS anywhere. B&H and Adorama don't carry it.

ALL the reviews of the Bessa-L and -R bodies and the lenses are superb. But as you mentioned, it's a lot easier to make fabulous lenses when you don't have do retrofocus designing or worry about clearing SLR mirrors or including auto diaphram mechanisms.

Wow, that is amazing. I guess they make it with an auto-aperture too? The LTM
obviously doesn't have that feature. The spectacular 15mm Voigtlander will
probably never get an OM mount since it lacks sufficient back-focus and will
run right into the mirror :( Need to get a Leica IIIf to use that one!

We'll have to wait and see if they actually produce and sell the 75 in the OM
mount, or if they are just listing an intention that may never be realized. It
would be interesting to compare it to the 85 f2 Zuiko. The chrome finihs of
the Heliar is very nice to look at. The recent Pop Photo issue has a great
review of the lenses, and the Bessa-R body.
