The way I teach students is to write cc's as  cm X cm X cm   X  1m/100cm  X
1m/100cm  X 1m/100cm.  Or use what ever unit multiplier you wish to convert
to.  It's so easy this way even I can do it without mistake.  Just make sure
to put the same unit label on the denominator side of the unit multiplier!
