On my 35-70 f3.5 1:2.8 macro Tamron Zoom (nice lens but ergonomically far
inferior to Zuikos) DOF preview is activated by something closer to a lever
than button, it is where the Zuikos have their button though. It is much
less convenient. I also find it easier to operate with left finger, grabbing
and pulling from below the lens barrel. I use right finger on Zuikos, but
it's harder on a Tamron. Also the aperture ring is much inferior, too close
to the mount, not protruding enough to allow a firm grasp etc. When I change
aperture I often change the focusing involuntarily and have to refocus.
Well - Tamrons are just a budget Oly lens solution - "poor man's Zuikos".
The optical quality is usually OK though.
While we are on the subject of cheap Zuiko alternatives - anybody has
any comments on Sigma 24 f2.8, much cheaper than any 24mm Zuiko. How are
Sigma's OM mounts on OM-4?
        Cheers
        Pawel
