Interesting you should ask about print films for I was going to post a
similar question.  I just shot my first roll of Portra 160NC using flash and
I'm not pleased with what I see.  To be fair, the film was not printed.  I
scanned the negatives in my LS-30.  Shadow areas have a reddish cast that I
may be able to remove with further tweaking with the gamma.  I'm going to
try shooting the Portra outside for landscapes for comparisons.

I had planned on taking the Portra 160NC to SW Utah this fall but it looks
like I maybe going back to my old reliable Kodak Royal Gold Select 100.

Anyone else have any comments on using Portra films?
