To obtain a 90 degree angle plug for a remote winder switch you could buy a
v. cheap set of walkman earpieces, cut the plug off and rewire it. It wont
be quite as elegant or perhaps as strong and the wire used in earpieces is
very thin but it might be adequate.
In the UK Radio Spares or Farnell sell all manner of plugs.
