[OM] stroboframe handedness and eye dominance

I've noticed that in all the stroboframe (and other bounce grip)
illustrations I've seen, the stroboframe is to the left of the camera
body. Any particular reason for that? It puts the camera in an
awkward position when using vertically with Motor Drive 2, and puts a
right eyed person at a disadvantage. Am I missing something basic, or
am I doomed to choose between using grips backwards and having an
awkward grip on my camera.

(obviously the third choice is to do some creative cutting and
building up, but I'd prefer the ready-made solution).

On a related note, I discovered, much to my surprise, how much better
the vision in my left eye is than my right eye when I tried out a
focusing screen with no split prism this week. Things I only guess at
with my right eyewere crystal clear in my left eye, and yet I have
always used cameras, guns, and spotting scopes right eyed. I suppose
I'll have to start re-training myself.
