A marvelous "whois" plus a few other tools to track down where something
came from or is located is "Sam Spade" and can be found here:
  http://samspade.org/ssw/
Sorry to Mac and Linux and Unix users, works only on MicroSloth Winders,
but it's free.  Been using it for some time now.
