[OM] XA Stuck On Self Timer

I've got an XA that works in every way, BUT it always runs on the self-timer
regardless of the switch position. The 12 second shutter delay is really getting
annoying. Is there any hope short of sending it off to John for repair? Has
anyone ever had this problem?
