yes, but there are complications.....
First, of course, the brass parts to be plated have to be removed from
the body. Then, all traces of the original paint have to be removed.
Next comes degreasing and intensive cleaning. Finally, the plating can
begin.
I have never plated brass myself, so I would rely heavily on Mike
Caswell's advice. I am virtually certain that nickel plates directly on
brass with no difficulties, since it contains copper. He has a really
good book on plating for 25$. Also, I have not extensively tested the
brake calipers I did for corrosion resistance, etc, but they were a
deep, flat black.
