A few tips for modeling.... (if you don't have any equipment)

Afternoon lightilng is prefered.  If it's a bright sunny day, you might
consider softening the light.  You can build a nice diffuser with a clean
WHITE bed sheet.  Build yourself a wooden frame about the size of the sheet
(twin bed is a good size) and staple the sheet to the frame. You'll need
someone to hold it inbetween the sun and the person.  Makes nice soft
"window light".  Also go look (or buy) some books on portratiure and shoot
what you see!
