Jacques, I have to agree with Gary, 35-70 is not a great lens. I will admit
that it is the first zoom lens in that range I have owned, but I do trust
Gary's test results. I have only shot 5-6 rolls with that lens and the
resulting slides and prints seem flatter and there is some distortion, most
apparent is barreling. If you really want try one out, buy the OM2000 kit
instead of just buying the lens. The kit comes with the 35-70 f 35.-4.8 and
if Gary's right about the lens' resale value, you can probably sell it for
more than it cost you to buy it with an OM2000 rather than just buying the
OM2000 body by itself. Plus you'll have a nice backup body in the OM2000.
