Hey Steve,

I went to that same camera show in Grapevine, the Champagne 4T was about a
7.5 condition and it did not work. Jammed and not due to batteries. He
wanted $550.00 (w/no lens) for it and would not come down on price. Also ,
the 300mm Canon f2.8 lens (fluorite) has a crude generic lens mount (not
OLY, but Oly off brand) attached to the rear of the lens. The screw heads
in the back of lens mount were ground down because they were oversized
screws. The lens was black with a large dent close to hood. (evidence of
good impact) Lens dust was inside lens element. The lens was external
focus. (meaning the lens gets longer/shorter as you focus.) He would not
budge from $750.00 when I spoke to him , but this was on Sunday morning.
The lens in my opinion was over priced and the photo's he had were average,
some of the photo's in album book were taken with his 85-250mm Olympus
lens. The photo's were loose shots and not shot tight.

I included this follow up, so no one on this site gets mislead. The lens in
my opinion is worth around $400.00 max. ( I base this on the screws that
were machined into lens mount. He is not sure if the screws can be removed,
as to replace the mount, back to a Canon, or new Olympus mount. The mount
on lens, showed heavy brassing.

Just beware and be careful!

Sam....
