Hi to all:

I am new to the Olympus, still a virgin...:-) but let me tell you something
about resurgence, etc.
One word...Leica. Go now and buy an old one...How much will you pay for that
old body and a good used lens? As a matter of fact. How many in this group
would not want to get one if you could afford it.
    I received my first tests on an OM2 with a 50mm/1.8 Zuiko...worth,
what...$200?. My boss, who has been a professional photographer for more than
30 years is just amazed at the quality of the optics in my little camera. He
owns docens of Leicas, Hasselblads, 8X10's, 16X20's ets, etc, etc. and no
digital gear.... He does not need it to do his work.

My point is that when it comes to good quality there will be no reason to
give up your gear for the new digital technology unless you want to experiment
with the new stuff. I think OM's will be arround for a while and as long as
there is 35mm film available the cameras will be alive.
I will not worry as much with what Olympus Co. does but more on what Kodak
or Fuji or Illford etc are planing for their future markets..

David
