Also, try toothpaste! Seriously, it has saved a couple of my son's CD's.
Cheap too. Use paste rather than gel.

You could try polishing the scratches using car or metal polish. I have had
reat
results polishing out scratches that cuase plain CDs to skip. SOmetimes
have to
have a go at them with 1200 wet & dry paper followed by 2000 grade then
polish.
