I haven't come across anything like this with PSP5.01 - 5.03.
You could check that your monitor colours are balanced (File-> Preferences->
Monitor Gamma).
If it's a bug in v6 it'll be discussed in the newsgroup -
comp.graphics.apps.paint-shop-pro, and JASC have set up another newsgroup
via news.jasc.com especially for the discussion of v6 beta bugs. Good luck!
