Fred Picker used to own and operate Zone VI Studios (Zone VI 4x5, 8x10
cameras, GREAT darkroom equipment, developers, cold light heads, Brilliant
b/w photo paper, etc). He has published several books and instructional
videos. If I recall correctly, he worked early on as a print maker for
Ansel Adams before establishing himself as a professional. Unfortunately,
he sold the company to Calumet and closed up shop.(no offence to this
Calumet--Zone VI used to give LIFETIME (no questions asked) warranties on
all their products--not any more. Calumet also only carries some of the
original Zone VI products). Fred also used to hold workshops, which I
believe they are still offering, but the newsletter is no longer produced.
