The silicone would be worse than the water dunk. That stuff tends to get
everywhere. If all the salt water was rinsed off, then there should be no
further corrosion problems. I'm talking in generalites, since I've never
repaired cameras. But, I would think that the most important thing would
be to make sure all the salt is removed, which I assume would require
complete dissasembly and cleaning. You could call Olympus for advice.
