I too has the Kiron 28/2.0. I was satisfied with it for years, but after
examining Sigma 28/1.8 lens I changed my mind - these two cannot stand
together. Especially wide open, and two stops down. Sigma is
significantly better.
Maybe my example was a lemon(!?)
