Elmer;

I guess I opened a couple of Pandoras boxes here, so let me try to help.

F280: This is a flash that was created by Olympus in the mid to late
80s to work with their 2 new cameras then: the 77AF and the 4Ti The
F280 is actually quite a big deal still, as it's claim to fame is it can
sync with the camera **at all shutter speeds**, not just 1/60th and
below, like your T32s. It's Guide number is 28, a bit less that your
32s, and it does not have a bounce head, like your Ts. But it excels at
fill flash at shutter speds above 1/60th, all the way up to 1/2000.
Now, it does lose GN power at shorter and shorter shutter times, but
once you learn the capabilities, it's irreplaceable.

Straps: I find the best are the Tamrac (although others may make this
type). They're 3 piece straps. One piece is the long over-the-shouder
padded strap part. This part has hefty plastic clips, similar to types
on backpacks or shoulder bags etc, on each end. The other 2parts are
small, maybe couple inches long. They have the receptacles for the
shoulder strap on one end, and the ring to connect to the camera strap
attachments on the camera. The protective part is that there are inch
long or so leather strips which fit **under** the metal ring and they
have a hole which fits around the camera lugs. The se leather strips
keep the metal ring from scratching the paint on the camera.

Portrait lens: This probably depends a lot on your taste. But, known
good ones would be: 85/2; 100/2 or 2.8; 180/2.8.

Hope this helps and please remember, I was kidding when I said you
"need" an F280. Only you can determine that!

George
