Thank you, Chris. My brother and I kept referring to this as the "Gump"
shot because of the scene in "Forest Gump." It's about the only shot I got
at Monument Valley in the sweet light. I was sicker than a dog with
bronchitis and unable to lobby for a more original setting as my brother
had already "done" Monument Valley before and wanted to hustle on to
Arizona. I was happy with the 85/2, although in retrospect and in light of
Gary's tests of this lens, I could wish for just a modicum more sharpness
at f16, but that's just not the stop where this lens sings. I think I love
that lens more now that I understand its mysteries a little better.
