I borrowed my brother's 4X Schneider loupe recently, and it is really
beautiful. Covers the entire slide and seems to render contrast more
naturally than the 50/1.8 used as a loupe, which also seems to be more like
6X or 8X magnification. At about $100US, I guess Schneider gives you what
you pay for.
