Jon,
We've collectively been wondering about the Imagek cartridge for some time.
Rollout of the cartridge has been announced and then pushed back several
times now. I offered to beta test the product about a year ago with both
[OM content -->] Olympus and Nikon cameras and received a nice email
response saying "Don't call us, we'll call you."
Their site has expanded, which is good. I'm not very impressed with the
images they show on their site however. For the same money, you can buy a
film scanner and get infinitely better digital results with your SLR's than
what I see there. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind trying it out for myself.
It would certainly be more convenient than film scanning, not to mention
cheaper over the long run.
