You should adjust the dual cable so it stops down fully before the shutter
fires. With a little experience on an empty camera, you can easily feel the
difference in pressure between the diaphram and the shutter. Press the
release until it stops down, say "one Mississippi", then slowly press it
the rest of the way to fire the shutter.

Of course, just using a cable may induce some vibration, but it need not be
due to the diaphram closing.
