I'd have to concur with John -- my 100/2.8 and my 50/1.8 are the sharpest 
lenses I own. And in any other company I'd say I owned a lot of lenses (8 
Zuikos), but on this list I'll bet I'm pretty lens-poor!

My 100 2.8 (bought in the late 70s) is VERY sharp.
