I think you are right, Hans.
It must be a variable open aperture, depending on focal length,
indeed.
The camera looks promising, albeit not an SLR like the C-1400/D-600
series. That is really what I need for close-up or near macro work...

But if I am well informed there will be another announcement soon,
this time of a 2.5 M pixel digital SLR. Maybe next month at the
Boot-show in Rotterdam?
I wish I had tickets for that...
