Not really, if you know the derivation. It refers to the behavior of any
animal that may gnaw on a limb caught in a trap.
Specifically, "coyote ugly" is when you meet someone of the appropriate sex
in a drunken stupor in a dimly-lit bar, go home with him/her, then wake up
in the morning with his/her sleeping head on your arm, and discover he/she
is so ugly that you chew your arm off to avoid waking him/her.
Obligatory Oly Content: if trapped in such a situation, whip out your
Olympus OM with a super-wide lens, take a picture of the two of you with
your free hand, then if he/she awakes as you slink out, threaten to turn
the photo over to Kenneth Starr if he/she ever tells anyone you were
together... :-)
