"PAC-3 Missile Launch
The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) and the U.S.
Army were unable to conduct a PAC-3 Missile Seeker Characterization
Flight today due to a target failure. The target, a HERA ballistic
reentry vehicle, failed during boost phase. The PAC-3 Missile was not
launched. The next PAC-3 flight mission will be rescheduled upon
conclusion of target failure analysis, preparation of a new target and
revalidation of preflight activities."
