<sigh> I must be dysfunctional. Whenever I acquire a new "find" - OM
body, Zuiko glass or other "Golly, I simply *need* this Oly part or
accessory, whatever - I immediately display it. I demonstrate how it works
and expound all the many ways it will expand my photographic vision and
horizons. I extol its virtues, laud the excellence of design and admire
precision of manufacture. All the while my spouse listens carefully, asking
the appropriate question here and there.

As the collection expands and additional space is required to house newly
acquired items, she assists in clearing drawers and moving "stuff" to
another location, making much needed breathing room for this collection that
now seemingly has a life of its own. Once again, there is a place for
everything and everything is in its place. There is surrounding territory
around all the prized pieces so they don't bump and bang against one
another, risking nick and ding, scuff or dreaded scratch. Time passes and
the whole process repeats - another drawer goes throught the rite of passage
from being a forgotten drawer of unused whatevers to the steward of precious
odds & ends.

Of course, when she returns home with fresh treasures, she extols their
virtues, I nod attentively and ask questions at the appropriate moments,
praise the beauty of her prizes and ........ well, y'all get the picture.

Works for me :-)

These collection strategies have been postulated:
