Oh, that was a lovely camera! I had it with two 6x9 backs, ditto sheet film
holders, matte screen back, 150, 100 and 50 mm lenses. One fine winter
morning I did not notice that the night's snow had fallen over very slick
ice caused by supercooled rain. I turned a somersault and landed, camera
first, in a snowdrift -- but I distinctly heard the sound when the Mamiya
hit the ground. I crawled home (standing up was difficult) and surveyed
the camera with much misgiving. But when I had taken it apart, shoveled
out the snow and dried it with a hair drier, it was perfectly OK -- not a
scratch! It took wonderfully creamy, sharp pictures too. But toting it was
literally a pain in the back.

BTW, the Seiko shutter on the 100 mm lens was proven to be the most
accurate shutter I have ever had a test made on. The tech man did not
believe his eyes. It beat all electronic shutters!
