Our archives for 1998 has lots of dialog on this subject. There is even a
lens test posted. In essence, it is a boutique lens that had a short and not
so successful production run, from 3-1983 (perhaps then only in prototype)
till about 1-1987. It is even more collectable due to Hollywood buying them
up for conversion to cine camera lenses. The outstanding feature of this
lens, besides it shallow profile, is that it has better edge definition than a
35mm, although poorer than a 50mm.

A previous ebay offering failed to meet reserve with the highest bid at $256.
Private sales have been in the $300 to $539 range. FWIW, this lens cost $125
new in 1986 and $132 in 1990, with the prices adjusted for inflation.
