the absorbant you are talking about is silica gel, but calcium chloride will
also do the trick. what ive done in the past is to obtain either (both are
drying agents) from a chemical supplier such as Fisher, or American
Scientific. they sell these items in various quantities. i just use an old
film container with several small holes drilled, some tissue or cotton balls,
and the drying agent: it is far cheaper than buying induvidually wrapped
packs. color indicating DRI-RITE works well, as does the blue silica gel.
