One question I've had about this, is what is done for recharging? Is the
NiCd charger used and just carefully timed so the batteries don't get
overcharged (and melt, explode, or otherwise do bad things)? Is a NiMH
battery charger modified to charge the Control Pack?

hi greg,
speak to john h., if you get an old shell of an control pack with dead
batteries, which will definitety be much cheaper than a working one, he
can retrofit it with nickel metal batteries which will make a whole of a
lot of difference over the NiCD that the original has.

Hello Greg,

I just bought a md 2 with a control grip 1. Works find. One of the list
members has a full page description of the various md components, I
think
you can get to it from Lee's web page.....

To: Olympus List olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'm thinking about getting a
Motor Drive 2, but it does not come with Control Pack 2. Can I use
Control Pack 1 or Control Grip 1 in it's place? Whats the difference (if
any) between the 1 and 2 series power sources? Also, what kind of
battery does Control Pack 2 use...is it also NiCd?Thanks in advance!
:)Greg
