Well, on the road again and I'm pleased as a pickle that I managed to
actually get my film hand-checked again. Let's see, for 1998 that's film 6,
x-ray 2. We'll see how I fare trying to get out of Montreal on Thursday...
Recent experiences with hand checking:
Chicago O'hare--OK
Kansas City--Marginal (had to fight to get it handchecked)
Des Moines, Iowa--OK
St. Louis--OK, except for terminal to TWE
Dublin Ireland--Marginal (had to fight to get it handchecked)
Seattle--OK
JFK--Marginal (TWA terminal)
Boston--OK
Pittsburg--OK
Atlanta--OK
Greenville, NC--OK
Birmingham Alabama--Marginal-didn't have time to fight.
Washington DC (Ronald Reagan International?)--OK
Dallas-Ftworth--OK (twa)
Houston--not ok.
Phoenix--OK
Las Vegas--OK
London Gatwick--marginal
London Heathrow--forget it. (I rarely can get a hand check here)
Birmingham UK--OK
Other airport experiences...
Hamburg Germany--handcheck ok (but everything else was a problem)
Amsterdam--handcheck ok
Frankfurt Germany--marginal (make sure you have enough time)
...and many others...
Yikes! No wonder I don't have time to file slides. I'm on the go too much.
Glad somebody else pays for the travel.
