Thanks to all who responded to my request for advice about removing the
batteries in the Winder 2. It really is a simple matter and if the battery
holder hadn't been plastic,  I would tried prying them out but with plastic
I tend to be more cautious.
The batteries are now out, though, and thanks again for the suggestions.
