Nope. It began in 1985 when Olympus decided to not take autofocus
seriously. Once Canon succeeded with their "farm-betting" EOS, Olympus
just plain gave up. We were asking about the OM-5 ages ago and Olympus
refused to listen.
Also, what's this about Paul's "allotment" of three OM3T bodies per year?
Come on, Let me ask this question: How many OM-3T bodies shipped to the
USA last year didn't get sold? I suspect that most are sold before they
are even manufactured. Olympus could quadrupple the production run, keep
the price the same and still sell every single one.
Olympus, are you listening? HAH! You haven't listened since the OM-1n/2n
days. If you want to be successful marketing OM cameras, why don't you at
least make an effort. Also, quit hiring Sony managment.
