[OM] T20 Flash on OM10

Subject: [OM] T20 Flash on OM10

Hello everyone,

My latest aquisition is a T20 flash with no instructions. The manual
adapter instructions and the OM10 instructions seem to infer that if the
manual adapter is mounted, then it must be set to 1/60th or more for the
flash to be quenched correctly, even with the camera set to auto. Why? I
thought that on auto the manual adapter would have no effect at all.

Also, what effect does reversing the slide have on the flash. I can see no
switch or contacts involved, except that the slide blank side out sets the
switch to manual. Would leaving it with the table showing, but the switch
in manual be the same thing?

Final question : am I limited to the aperture range indicated on the slide
to match the iso rating of my film?

Thanks in advance for your assembled wisdom - I'll try asking Oly for a
manual.

OM Tyro - please point my lens in the right direction.
