First of all, if you look around you can get a shoe 3 for about $15.
Second, the removable hot shoes for the Olympus OM cameras have a
reputation for being fairly weak and prone to breakage.
Third, IMHO, your idea to alter a shoe 2 sounds like it will become even
less strong.
Fourth, the value of your T-series flash is on a scale of 3 to 8 times
greater than the cost of a shoe 4.
All in all, it sounds like a move to be done in utter despiration only.
