I got a message from my local dealer where I bought my OM-4T in August. As you
might recall, it's been plagued with focus problems and in for service since
November.
He says it will take another 3 weeks (argh!), but did say that they (Nortown in
MIssissauga - an Oly service centre) have confirmed mirror mis-alignment as a
cause, and have proceeded with a complete overhaul, checking everything.
I am now starting to wonder if the "overhaul" done by Bridgeport Cameras caused
this mirror problem in the first place. I can't see how a mirror could get
knocked (it was visibly skewed, at least to me) in normal use.
I just hope I get it back in good shape, and before the OM-5 comes out...
