Bummer Dude! I try not to leave cameras in the car but sometimes I can't get
around it. I put my camera bag in a paper grocery sack and put some McDonalds
Hamburger wrapper trash and some cleaning products like spray bottles and
toilet brush on top. Call it urban camouflage. I stick this on the floorwell
up front as this is harder to see than stuff set on the back or front seat.
Also stick a pencil in your tape deck slot and pull a knob off. It makes the
radio look too junky to be worth breaking in for. Walk up to your own car and
look in like a street urchin would. Is there anything in there worth the
trouble? Why not put it in the trunk you ask? I don't have one. Best to do
all this arranging and sorting somewhere before you park the car. Sitting
there messing with a lot of stuff after you park draws attention and
curiousity about what you have in there from the street urchins who see
everything. Even with a trunk, if you park and then put stuff back there
someone will see you do it. Then contemplate the concept of the lowest
common denominator that shapes our society, be a good Republican and make
believe that the underclass doesn't exist because we don't want it to. Don't
you wish you could just pay the CrackHead the 50 bucks that he got for all of
that gear to get it back?

Here in the west it is common to see worker guys with a thousand bucks worth
of tools laying in the back of their pickup trucks in plain view but they also
have a very large vicious dog back there sitting on them. Back east I think
they would just kill and eat the dog, and steal the goods too.

Is France a nice place to live?

Regards,

Carl Turner
